Introducing Reflections — and More Exciting Things to Come!

Updated: Jan 21

Since I was a small child, I've always wanted to help others and make a difference in the world. How much I'm able to do that waxes and wanes like the tide. At one time, that really bothered me, but now I realize that it's okay to have periods where you do more and then less. Sometimes inspiration comes to you; other times it doesn't. Sometimes life challenges get in the way of fulfilling our purpose. What's most important is to keep trying when you're able to.

I've recently contemplated a few ideas to better help get important messages out there, and I'd like to share these with you. As many of you know, in July 2018, I started a column called Weekly Wisdom on my author Facebook page to regularly share positive messages and words of encouragement with others. It was very well received. However, not everyone has Facebook or visits it regularly. Plus, I can't seem to keep up with the ambitious weekly schedule. So, I've decided I need a better strategy and more outlets for sharing my work.

First, I decided my Weekly Wisdom messages should also be on this website for more people to find. Second, I should call it something other than Weekly Wisdom, so I don't have to feel guilty for posting less often. :) Third, I should create a small book of these messages, so people can carry it with them and take a look whenever they want —without having to log into a computer or stare at their phone.

As a result, Weekly Wisdom will gradually be rolled into my existing blog on this site, which I currently call Looking Within. I think a better combined name is Reflections. I love the double meaning: reflecting on your life and admiring the reflections we see when the sun glistens off of a lake, for example. I hope you'll agree it's a great fit.

Of course, it will take some time to roll all of this out, but I am excited to get started. As always, feel free to share your feedback with me or make suggestions on what you would like to see. Thanks so much for your support!
