Help Is Never Far Away

Updated: Jan 20, 2020

Have you ever felt conflicted, sad or confused about something and then suddenly noticed signs that point you in the right direction? You’re not alone. Some people call them “God-winks;” others use the term “synchronicity.” But no matter what you choose to call these events, they all remind us that there is a much larger force at work in our lives.

What we sometimes forget during our busy schedules is that we can ask for and seek guidance at any time. We don’t have to muddle through life alone, nor do we have to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders. Simply ask and you shall receive. This doesn’t mean that you’ll always get the answer you were hoping for, but it does confirm that support and guidance are just a prayer or simple request away.

I remember when a loved one had cancer and I so was terrified of losing her. At one point, I even questioned whether or not things would ever be okay again. I voiced my concerns in a silent prayer. That week, I saw not one but three rainbows! Never before in my life had I seen so many rainbows in such a short period of time. Because of this miraculous occurrence, I knew in my heart that she would be okay. Today she is healthy, thriving and cancer-free.

Those rainbows spoke to me in a way that no person on earth could. They urged me to have hope and to keep the faith at a time when life seemed so uncertain and out of control. I needed some comfort and reassurance—and I received it.

Not every story has a happy ending. But no matter what challenges, hardships or obstacles we face, we can take comfort in knowing we are never truly alone.

Next time you are feeling depressed, afraid, uncertain or conflicted, try asking for your own sign or guidance. You just may be surprised at what comes your way!
